My old reflexcamera, a Fuji FinePix s5800 was a bit outdated. Bought it on eBay back in 07 for less then $200.
Recently I’ve bought a new toy and so I though I’d dedicate my first real post to it. A Canon EOS 500D and o boy it’s good. It came with a 18-55 kit lens which is great for landscapes, etc… but I’m more a nature, macro, flower, animal photographer so a 18-55 can’t really blow me away. I’ve bought a 55-250 which is a perfect companion for the 18-55. It is perfect for macro photgraphy, you’ll see. Oh wait, you CAN see it!

But a little bit more about the Canon EOS 500D! Announced March 25, 2009. Who wouldn’t love this camera? It wasn’t exactly cheap $1200 for the camera with kitlens and I’ve paid another $300 for the 55-250 lens on eBay but it was worth it because I really would like to start as an amateur/pro photographer and DeviantART is perfect for that. It allows me to sell my photographs as canvas prints, posters, puzzles, etc…
