Yay thank you so much! That worked like a charm. Mine stopped scrolling up for a little under 3 minutes but it was driving me insane so I did as you described and it fixed it immediately. Very nice.

Cheers for the tip it does solve the problem having had problems scrolling up this quickly and cheaply resolved the issue

I can assure you that it works! I’ve fixed two Mighty Mice already with this solution and there is also an article about it on the Apple Support pages. .
