Moon and Stars photography

Tonight I took my first pictures of the moon. I took pictures of stars before but not as good as this time. It still isn’t good but I’m getting there . I really need one of those telezoom lenses. These are shot with a Canon 500D, 50-250 IS lens. For the moon the shutter speed was 1/4000, otherwise it was too bright. For the stars it was 8″, otherwise black field.
