Takamine EG523SC review (acoustic-electric guitar) illustrated
My Takamine EG523SC got delivered yesterday and o boy, what an amazing piece of art! It’s a 2009 version, made in Korea. Features: Jumbo C/A, Abalone rosette, solid spruce top, block MOP and Abalone inlay, flamed maple on the back and sides, rosewood fingerboard, TK40 electronics and chrome tuners from Takamine.
I play acoustic covers, mostly pop but I also play classic songs like Tears in Heaven, Classcical Gas (Eric Clapton), Stairway to heaven, etc… It suits my style very well, it has a bright yet full sound (Jumbo body).
I’ve bought it from Shop2Rock (I buy most of my guitars from them) and they do a full inspection on everything before you receive it. They also put new strings on it (the best d’Addario’s) and check for fret buzz etc… It was perfect and ready to go on stage.
